Romulus is a barge that is offering short term placement in situations where a bridging placement maybe required for a short period whilst a new placement home is identified.
It is based on our own private moorings, in a private stunning location on the Lancaster canal, which offers excellent sailing opportunities on the canal networks in a rural tranquil, scenic location.
Romulus is the biggest barge in our fleet and is a spacious and well kitted out 70-foot narrow boat.
All our barges are equipped as a home from home, decorated to a high standard, offering second-to-none cleaning and cooking facilities, personal bedroom space, staff sleeping space, kitchen areas, TVs and more.
All barges have the use of 3 bikes per barge and a company vehicle.
The staff have been friendly and listened to me whenever I have needed them. The food has been great!
The barge has been a really good experience and I have enjoyed being on the barge and the activities
Being on the barge has been really good. I have enjoyed being in a different environmnt with swans swimming up to the barge. The staff have been supportive and helpful. Whilst here I have enjoyed beating all the staff at snooker and pool, I enjoyed go kartin g and have fun trips planned to Old Trafford Football Ground and Blackpool Tower. I have also enjoyed going on bike rides in the country.
