We deliver 300 courses to more than 7,000 students from entry level through to level 3, A Levels, apprenticeships and full degrees.

Working closely with the Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership and employers, we are continuously reviewing and developing our curriculum offer to ensure our students have the best opportunity to progress, whether it be into employment or further study. We also want to ensure that students are able to train to the highest standards with the very best opportunities to progress.

We have a thriving A Level provision with specialist classrooms and a dedicated Sixth Form Centre. More recently, we have launched the L20 Hotel School where the qualifications delivered will fulfil the needs of the Liverpool City Region tourism sector and help provide well trained and job ready students to the city’s growing visitor economy.

We are also responding to the exciting Super Port developments right on our doorstep and we are creating port operations courses that will allow our learners to forge careers in this exciting, global and well paid sector.
The personal support we offer our students is outstanding and our learners tell us they like our safe and secure campus, and the friendly multicultural atmosphere. It’s a grown up environment where people treat each other equally and with respect. We are continually looking to develop our facilities and this year we are building a new state-of-the-art gym and fitness centre in collaboration with Lifestyle Fitness.

The centre will be accessible by students and staff as well as being open to members of our local community.

This will complement our newly designed cafes and restaurants and our new L20 site on Stanley Road which will house a university centre, performance centre, cafe and a community library.

The College offers full and part time university level courses from foundation degrees to full honours programmes and we have also introduced access to higher education courses. Our foundation degrees and full degree programmes are validated by our partner universities, The University of Central Lancashire and Edge Hill University.

We are dedicated to providing the young people of Merseyside high quality and fully accredited training that will enable them to fulfill their ambitions of working in the motor industry.

Our courses reinforce all classroom based learning with realistic practical skills utilizing our extensive and well-equipped workshop, and we use this to great success.

Based in the Walton area of Liverpool, Oakmere Community College was established over 30 years ago. We are a not for profit organisation and develop commercial income to supplement funding by running a state of the art conference centre. This allows us to provide a wide range of FREE training & support in the local community.

Together we will draw up development pathways for young adults wanting to advance in their chosen career and bring hope to their lives , starting with traineeships. Traineeships for your young adults: Traineeships are part of study programmes and are available for 16- 24 year olds. (Qualified below level 3 for 16-18 and below level 2 for 19-24 year olds.

• It is a programme developed to support young people into employment and apprenticeships
• Only OFSTED grade 1 or 2 colleges can deliver this traineeship programme
• The programme can last between 5 weeks and 6 months, but is individual for each learner.

Content of a traineeship: Learners will attend college for one day a week to complete the below. The remaning hours will be spent with the employer.

• Work preparation training – CVs, interview skills, applying for jobs etc…
• English and Maths qualifications – Functional skills or GCSE depending on the learners entry level

Final outcome/achievement from the traineeship:

• Understanding of interview techniques, CV writing and job applications
• Introduction into functional skills
• Progression onto permanent employment with an apprenticeship offer.

After traineeship Exceptional Care can help the young adults to progress further by guaranteeing work placements in the form of apprenticeships to suit all ambitions and aspirations, for instance we have placements available in gyms, restaurants, kitchens , building sites, electrical companies, beauty salons, offices, hairdressers etc.

Exceptional Care also have experienced self employed in house tutors to deliver 1:1 education within the homes to young people who are just not ready for the classroom environment yet. From as little as two hours a day we can deliver:
